About the role

Job Title: Loan Workout Specialist
Location: West Des Moines, IA – Onsite 5 Days/Week
Contract Length: 18 months
Pay Rate: $23/hr - $24/hr

Responsibilities

• Review physical and electronic legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify that information matches corresponding supporting documentation.
• Ensure documentation meets applicable state and legal requirements.
• Validate notarizations and legal document execution requirements.
• Conduct judgment and complaint reviews as needed.
• Perform quality assurance reviews prior to documents being sent to external legal partners.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures and compliance standards.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to support documentation and reporting activities.

Requirements

• Experience with collections law, litigation, or civil legal procedures.
• Quality assurance experience reviewing legal, financial, or compliance-related documents.
• Attention to detail and ability to validate documentation accuracy.
• 6+ months of Loan Workout or Commercial Lending experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Paralegal certification.
• Experience in loan servicing or other commercial lending environments.
• Understanding of credit card products and collections processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of Loan Workout or Commercial Lending experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Paralegal certification.
• Experience in loan servicing or other commercial lending environments.
• Understanding of credit card products and collections processes.

Skills

• Microsoft Office tools.
