Loan Servicing Manager

About the role

This position oversees the Loan Account Servicing Department's daily functions, processes, and risk controls to ensure loan accounting and data integrity, mitigating operational risks in the Jack Henry loan accounting system. Key areas include loan data input, maintenance, research, advance & payment processing, participation services, GL reconciliation, and loan customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate and timely loan information entry into the CORE loan accounting system.
• Maintains and adjusts loan data in the CORE loan accounting system.
• Applies payments received accurately and promptly.
• Solves outstanding issues with department management and sales teams.
• Manages escrow analysis and payments for Bank and Mortgage divisions.
• Provides excellent customer service to lending associates and bank clients.
• Schedules, evaluates, and supports staff performance.
• Trains and coaches team members.
• Recruits and hires talent for the department.
• Reports accurately on SBA guaranteed loans.
• Handles credit disputes and inquiries, ensuring timely resolutions.

Employee Specifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of banking/financial services experience, with 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of loan accounting systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and strong understanding of financial institution products and services.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, process management, conflict management, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills; proven team-building, mentoring, and training abilities; strong problem-solving skills; exceptional customer service skills; ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to timelines.
