Loan Production Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

This internship encourages creativity and innovation. Interns support their assigned team with a variety of projects and administrative work, performing substantive work that can be added to a resume. For top performers, this program serves as a pipeline for many entry-level full-time positions.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of the deal team that originates, underwrites, and closes multifamily affordable debt.
• Interface with multiple departments throughout Merchants Capital.
• Learn key components of risk assessment and processing required to execute financing transactions.
• Apply coursework learning to projects and implement solutions or recommendations.
• Work with both a manager and a mentor for guidance through the program and day-to-day work.
• Deliver a final presentation of project results and make business recommendations to department, team members, and Company leadership.

Requirements

• Completed at least sophomore year of college (graduates are also welcome to apply).
• All degree programs will be considered.
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.
