LOAN PROCESSOR I

About the role

Responsible for the processing and administration of loans in one or more of the following areas: consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans.

Responsibilities

• Input and audit of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans.
• Provide administrative assistance to the lenders and staff, including processing loan payments, inputting and updating loan data in the system, and maintaining loan records and files (paper and electronic).
• Assemble and verify accuracy of loan documentation.
• Ensure that loan files contain documents with proper signature, dates, and other relevant data.
• Perform clerical duties related to working ticklers and maintaining departmental records.
• Answer customer questions and resolve routine problems regarding payoffs, changes of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries, and other loan details.
• Balance assigned general ledgers.
• Process escrow, which may include homeowner's insurance, PMI, property taxes, and homeowner's association dues.
• Work through escrow analysis.
• Provide input on QM procedures and updates as directed by the loan operations manager.
• Actively achieve individual sales, referral, operational, and community involvement goals.
• Scan and image documentation within Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in a financial institution, lending setting, or office environment.
• Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Fluency in computer applications and Microsoft Office.
