About the role
Mortgage Direct is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic team in Bay Shore, NY.
Responsibilities
- Review initial loan approvals and work with borrowers to gather necessary documentation
- Create loan submission packages for the Underwriting department
- Submit files to assigned Underwriters
- Satisfy all conditions communicated by Underwriters
- Communicate with attorneys, county clerks, and title companies as needed
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience processing residential mortgage loans (FHA, VA, Conventional/Purchase, Refinance)
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Utilize in-house technical systems and programs such as Encompass
- Show thorough understanding of underwriting policies, compliance, and procedures
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Show strong organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and analytical skills
