Responsibilities
- Aid loan officers with loan application processing and documentation.
- Collaborate with title companies and attorneys during loan closings.
- Coordinate loan closings, managing the process from approval to booking.
- Act as the primary liaison between bank customers and the loan department.
- Handle loan payments and other financial transactions related to closings.
- Resolve exceptions and collect past due accounts.
- Review and correct NSF items for accounts managed by loan officers.
- Support the loan documentation department in preparing loan documents for closing.
- Facilitate construction inspections and provide advances for construction loans.
- Gather necessary documentation for loan closings, such as tax records and insurance.
Requirements
- Two-year college degree or relevant professional experience.
- Three to five years of loan processing experience, preferably in commercial lending.
- Knowledge of consumer, commercial, and real estate loans, along with their respective regulations, procedures, and documentation.
- Personal computer proficiency, including Windows, Word, Excel, and Laser-Pro.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in a fast-paced work environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in a team setting.
Mental & Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel if required for job functions.
- Capacity to handle stress and meet deadlines.
- Read and interpret documents as needed for job functions.
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry up to 15 pounds if required for job functions.
