About the Role
The Loan Operations Specialist II maintains, coordinates, reviews, funds, bills, and processes consumer and commercial loans.
Responsibilities
- Provide back-up to Loan Operation Specialist I responsibilities.
- Fund and board new loans and modifications, including collateral records, codes, payment schedules, customer information, file maintenance, and retention.
- Quote accurate payoffs for customers and title companies.
- Review funded or modified documents, interpreting terms and standard loan document verbiage.
- E-record loan documents and mail checks/documentation to add the Bank’s lien to collateral.
- Process loan payments, payment corrections, payoffs, and refunds.
- Handle non-revolving and line of credit processing, including preparing draw packets, ordering inspections, working with inspectors, funding draw requests, and collaborating with loan officers.
- Process escrow disbursements and review escrow analysis statements.
- Review and update loan reports and logs.
- Monitor assigned group emails and phone calls.
- Resolve customer complaints or escalate to higher specialists or management.
- Obtain and maintain SBA loan file compliance items, such as payments, notices, and SBA reporting forms.
- Service government insured loans (FHA, VA, USDA), including remitting payments, monthly reporting, loss mitigation, and foreclosure.
- Perform detailed analysis of financial and credit documents for exception clearing.
- Monitor and clear miscellaneous ticklers.
- Monitor daily reports for system and parameter changes.
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain security and confidentiality of information and records.
- Stay current with professional development relevant to the position.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.
- One to three years of job-related experience, preferably in the financial industry.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Basic knowledge of post-closing loan servicing.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
Technical Knowledge
- Preferred: Jack Henry Xperience Banking systems.
- Preferred: Jack Henry Synergy Document systems.
