About the role
Responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all loan booking reviews, receiving and tracking all original loan closing documentation, adding and deleting items from loan document exception log, creating loan files, processing payment notices daily, processing monthly remittance of Documentary stamps, reviewing payoff letters for accuracy, and creating and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Reviews loans booked on the core system for accuracy from the approval, documents, and booking checklists provided (to include all new, renewed, extended, and modified loans).
- Tracks all original loan closing documentation from processors, officers, title companies, and attorneys.
- Updates Loan Documentation Report to add new files to be received, missing documentation, and removes items as necessary.
- Creates Note file and Documentation files from the closing documents received.
- Processes payment notices daily (print, mail, and maintain adequate supply of envelopes necessary for this duty).
- Processes monthly remittance of documentary stamp tax to the Department of Revenue.
- Reviews payoff letters for accuracy.
- Provides quality client service by delivering prompt and accurate information.
- Maintains a current working knowledge of all Bank policies and procedures, laws, and regulations applicable to the position.
- Communicates with clients and lenders regarding loan accounts.
- Processes various maintenance updates to the core system, such as officer/address changes.
- Performs other tasks for Loan Operations Manager or executive team as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in all areas of loan servicing.
Qualifications
- Possesses thorough knowledge of loan servicing for all types of loans.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent client interaction skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, i.e., Excel and Word.
- Proficient with 10-key and keyboarding skills.
- Knowledgeable with financial institution operating policies and procedures and banking regulations, state and federal.
