Loan Operations Specialist

About the role

This role supports a multi-year core banking conversion and data integrity project for a respected financial institution. It is not a customer-facing lending role but rather focuses on loan and collateral data management.

Responsibilities

• Review loan records and compare information against supporting documentation
• Work from Excel tracking templates and the bank's core system to validate data
• Update loan and collateral information within the system
• Support ongoing loan data cleanup and conversion efforts
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of collateral records
• Research discrepancies and make appropriate updates
• Afford assistance with documenting procedures and workflows within the new system environment
• Partner with loan operations teams to maintain data integrity and consistency

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage repetitive project work
• Comfortable reviewing, validating, and updating large volumes of information
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Experience working within structured processes and procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and navigating multiple systems
• Core banking system experience preferred
