About the role
The Loan Operations Loan Fulfillment Floater is responsible for the accurate and complete delivery of consumer lending and small business loan documents using the Application and document preparation system in accordance with approvals. This role covers high-volume areas and meets completeness, turn-time, and accuracy requirements dictated by established service level agreements. The Fulfillment Floater works closely with Loan Closing Specialists, Documentation Specialists, QC Specialists, Funding/Booking Specialists, Lenders, and external closing agents.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex and/or non-routine tasks exercising significant judgment and discretion in support of Loan Operations.
- Prepares and delivers detailed loan documents for intermediate to complex loan types within specified deadlines and in compliance with bank regulatory and investor guidelines.
- Prepares all Consumer and SBG Commercial Non-Real Estate loan packages.
- Delivers homeowner council notices for applicable applications daily.
- Mails or confirms email delivery of appraisals for Consumer and Small Business applications where required.
- Performs quality control (QC) on all consumer real estate applications.
- Handles all title queue duties.
- Completes tasks related to return mail.
- Assists with monitoring reports for Consumer and SBG applications in progress.
- Assists with non-post items for Consumer and SBG applications in progress.
- Ensures thorough understanding and compliance with consumer and small business loan products, lending policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., fair lending, CIP, Reg H, HMDA, CRA, Reg O), and audit standards.
- Promotes a collaborative team environment with Underwriters, Loan Closing Specialists, Lenders, and other Loan Operations team members.
- Maximizes customer experience and fosters a positive working environment with all business partners.
- Provides timely, accurate updates to Lenders, Loan Closing Specialists, attorneys, title companies, and third parties on loan status.
- Handles inquiries professionally and ethically, escalating special situations as necessary.
- Ensures all goals and departmental service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Manages production during fluctuating volumes while consistently meeting turnaround time and quality standards.
- Effectively utilizes workflow and imaging tools.
- Participates in required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent experience in a related field acceptable; college degree preferred.
- 2–3 years’ work experience in a financial institution with a focus on loan documentation.
- 2+ years of consumer loan and/or small business loan experience.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Understanding of applicable bank policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of loan documents and requirements for consumer lending and small business loans.
- Proficiency with Meridian Link, NewGen, 360 View, Unity Director, Premier, and UCBI internal banking systems.
- Good personal computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email.
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal direction.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends as needed. This role may require up to 5% travel.
Pay
USD $21.27 - USD $22.44 per hour.
