About the role

This position serves as the Loan Documentation Manager, leading and evaluating the Loan Documentation team. Key responsibilities include interpreting and enforcing bank policies and procedures, overseeing loan documentation, and ensuring timely loan closings.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret, maintain, and enforce bank policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws.
  • Oversee and monitor incoming work to ensure deadlines are met in accordance with department procedures and service level agreements.
  • Facilitate hiring, coaching, training, assigning loans, and writing annual reviews for Loan Documentation Coordinators.
  • Coordinate with Loan Documentation Manager and act as backup for non-SBA Loan Documentation.
  • Verify loans submitted in the capital stream workflow application to ensure preliminary information has been uploaded, properly entered, and approved, gathering all necessary information for closing.
  • Oversee a variety of tasks including preparing all documentation required in accordance with approvals, reviewing loan documents prepared by outside counsel for accuracy, and checking documentation prior to closing for completeness and accuracy.
  • Create and implement training and develop training materials, serving as a resource and escalation point for the team and bankers.
  • Thoroughly review the team’s documentation for accuracy and ensure consistency with loan approvals.
  • Assist in researching complex credits to determine status in conjunction with regulations, build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates, and treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of relevant job experience.

Desired Skills

  • Associate’s Degree in business or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of relevant job experience.
  • Laser Pro experience.
  • SBA and Agricultural documentation experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Strong oral communication skills (including excellent telephone etiquette).
  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions, deliver on commitments, and assume responsibility for results.
  • Responsive and flexible; ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and modify approaches or methods to best fit the situation.
  • Self-directed and able to prioritize multiple duties.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
