Loan Default Single Point of Contact - Bilingual Spanish/English Required

Coordinates Loss Mitigation and Default activities, including Foreclosure and Bankruptcy, for an assigned portfolio of loans.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an assigned portfolio of loans in default or loss-mitigation workout status (up to and including Bankruptcy and Foreclosure) to ensure timely processing and adherence to client, state, and federal requirements.
• Documents the case-management system with file progress and current status; identifies stalled files and communicates next steps.
• Enters and verifies accurate data in the case-management system.
• Handles inbound and outbound calls from borrowers in default; explains loss-mitigation application status and workout terms.
• Drafts documents for attorney review (e.g., debt affidavits, payoffs, reinstatement quotes).
• Manages special projects and client reporting; calendars follow-up requests for outstanding items.
• Orders and reviews Broker Price Opinion (BPO) submissions.
• Stays current on Private and GSE guideline updates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of mortgage and/or financial-services experience.
• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Active Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) license.
• Bilingual: must read, write, speak, and translate a position-specific language fluently.
• Working knowledge of Default and Loss-Mitigation law and terminology.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, meet critical deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as a team player.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of client systems (e.g., Black Knight/LPS).
• Some local travel required.
