About the role
This position is a great fit for someone with strong experience supporting commercial loan closings from approval through funding, booking, and ongoing loan servicing. You’ll act as a key point of contact between Relationship Managers, internal operations teams, attorneys/counsel, and other stakeholders to help ensure loans close accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial loan activity from approval through closing, funding, booking, and ongoing life-of-loan servicing support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Relationship Managers, lenders, internal operations teams, attorneys/counsel, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate deal flow and loan closing timelines to help ensure timely and accurate closings
- Review and coordinate closing documentation, due diligence items, insurance requirements, application materials, and regulatory requirements
- Identify, escalate, and help resolve transaction issues prior to closing while ensuring proper controls and risk coverage
- Partner with closing and servicing teams to support proper booking, accrual reconciliations, daily cash positions, payments, draws, payoffs, and other loan activity
- Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness and assist with closings when needed
- Communicate with lenders and internal partners regarding issues, missing items, and closing requirements
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience as a Lending Assistant, Loan Processor, Loan Administrator, Loan Specialist, or similar commercial lending support role
- Strong knowledge of commercial loan closing, documentation, funding, booking, and servicing processes
- Experience with Commercial Real Estate and/or C&I loan documentation strongly preferred
- Ability to work with Relationship Managers, attorneys/counsel, closing teams, servicing teams, and internal operations groups
- Strong communication, organization, customer service, follow-up, and time management skills
- Ability to enforce policies, procedures, and processes when challenged
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven banking environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with nCino or a banking core system is a plus
