Essential Functions
- Provides administrative support to lender.
- Assists lender with loan applications.
- Researches information to comply with HOEPA guidelines.
- Assists lender in clearing loan documentation and policy exceptions.
- Gathers loan documentation necessary to close a loan such as: credit bureau reports, flood certifications, census tracts, proof of hazard insurance and flood insurance when necessary, and all other required documentation.
- Prepares title applications and exhibits for deeds of trust when necessary.
- Verifies that all necessary information has been secured such as: ordering appraisals/evaluations, UCC searches, title opinions, and any other required information.
- Enters consumer loans in Decision Pro.
- Compiles all information and sends to CCA with closing instructions.
- Prints completed loan package and verifies accuracy.
- Prepares presentation package and tabs for customer signature.
- Presents loan package to customer, answers inquiries, closes the loan, and disburses funds.
- Balances loan and prepares appropriate entries.
- Scans entries and completed loan documents and sends to appropriate departments to be loaded into the system.
- Completes HMDA forms, CRA forms, and Real Estate Review checklists when required.
- Compiles reports as requested by lender such as past dues, maturing loans, and exception reports.
- Assists lender in collecting past due accounts.
- Prepares letters to customers (and others) as required to support the loan functions of the bank.
- Completes assigned training such as BAI and stays current on any regulation/compliance/policy changes.
- Resolves customer problems, acts as the customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary.
- Answers and assists incoming callers with questions and requests, routes callers, as appropriate.
- Receives incoming bank visitors and assists in directing them appropriately.
Additional Functions
- Work overtime, as needed.
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned and requested.
Position Qualifications
- Education: Required – High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred – Post-secondary certificate or degree, experience will be considered.
- Experience: Required – 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or related field. Preferred – 6 to 10 years of experience in banking or a related area.
