Loan and Member Services Representative I - Chelsea

Responsibilities
- Meet with members in person or over the phone to uncover financial needs, tailor products and services, share product knowledge, resolve member issues, and process all financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Partner with Specialists (FA’s, MLO’s and Business Banking RM’s) to connect members with experts for specialized financial needs.
- Operations:
- Process transactions using FourLeaf systems in accordance with established policies and procedures, including account openings and maintenance of consumer, business, and fiduciary accounts (e.g., Estate, Trust, Guardianships, IRA’s).
- Assess and identify the best lending product for members, understanding product features and benefits, and submitting applications, completing disbursements, maintenance, and closings for all loan products, including Home Equity products.
- Perform financial transactions, including teller transactions, Speed Deposit, and Night Drop transactions.
- Make sound decisions adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements (e.g., determining check holds while following funds availability policy).
- Identify red flags based on risk guidelines and escalate to supervisors when necessary.
- Member Experience:
- Act as a trusted advisor using a consultative sales approach to grow the branch market.
- Recommend products and services that benefit members, including referring members to business partners to expand relationships.
- Provide exceptional member experiences by cultivating relationships, identifying needs, analyzing account/loan data, and resolving issues.
- Maintain high member satisfaction through professionalism, accuracy, and timely follow-up.
- Communicate marketing promotions and services provided by business partners.
- Educate and assist members with technology and self-service options to enhance the omnichannel experience.
- Contribute to lobby management by welcoming members, checking in those waiting for platform services, and assisting with teller and drive-up traffic to limit wait times.
- Compliance:
- Support the branch with opening/closing procedures, daily reports, audit tasks, and dual control.
- Maintain controls, reconciliations, and reports, including verifying currency, balancing cash box/cash recyclers (TCR), daily reports, CTR’s, and SAR’s.
- Stay abreast of and adhere to policies, procedures, and banking regulations.
- Identify emerging risks and fraud trends to minimize exposure to members and FourLeaf.
- Comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and Office of Foreign Asset Control.
- Strategy:
- Participate in the overall success of the individual, branch, region, Retail Banking, and organizational goals by meeting or exceeding assigned performance goals and metrics.
- Enhance sales conversations to obtain member relationships and drive deposits and loans.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of customer service and sales experience.
- Licenses: NYS Notary Public (within 6 months), National Mortgage Licensing System (within 3 months).
- Computer Skills: PC, Windows, and Internet proficiency.
Pay
The estimated salary for this role is $21.78 - $25.59 per hour.
