About the role
As a Porter at RWB Thrift, you are the air-traffic controller of the backroom, anticipating the needs of the production support staff ahead of time, ensuring supplies are available and in the correct place. You play a vital role in maintaining a safe work environment by prioritizing cleanliness, organization, and flow of the production floor. You are aware of the walkways and removing hazards for the production floor team.
Responsibilities
- Transport items between departments and assist with supply movement as needed
- Maintain inventory of supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishment
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe and clean environment for customers and staff
- Provide excellent customer service by anticipating the needs of the production staff so they can accelerate their workflow
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures for cleaning and maintenance tasks
Physical Requirements
- Safely perform job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity requirements
- Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 70 lbs, frequently exert up to 25 lbs of force, and constantly apply negligible force when handling objects
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Proficient in performing repetitive motions such as extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction and working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm
- Skilled in tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands
- Capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces, as well as maintaining balance when performing agile tasks
- Possess clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more

Language Requirements

Pay
Pay Range: $16.42 to $17.79 per hour.
