Loader Operator - Elizabethtown, KY

About the Role

Join SRM Concrete as a Loader Operator and take pride in operating powerful front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to keep our concrete operations running smoothly. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to move materials, maintain inventory, and ensure our plant stays productive and safe.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement around the plant.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors to ensure materials are always available.
• Collaborate with your crew and production team to maintain schedules and workflow.
• Inspect equipment before and after shifts, reporting any issues to maintain safety and functionality.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear required gear, and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist with inventory counts to prevent material shortages.
• Share ideas with plant leaders to improve operations and processes.
• Support teammates and assist with tasks as needed, including challenging or unexpected jobs.

Requirements

• Experience operating loaders or other heavy machinery is a plus, but we provide training for hardworking individuals eager to learn.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Commitment to safety for yourself and your team, with the confidence to speak up about concerns.
• Ability to perform equipment checks and handle basic maintenance.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a readiness to contribute.
• Physical capability to work in all weather conditions and handle the demands of the job.
• High school diploma or equivalent is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.
