Loader Operator

Description

The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This role requires operating a Loader and other related equipment as necessary for daily operations. Key responsibilities include performing daily pre and post-inspections of equipment and working areas, maintaining work areas by ensuring adequate berms and roadways, participating in safety inspections, following safety standards, and assisting in training co-workers.

• Operate within company guidelines and safety standards
• Follow MSHA safety rules and regulations
• Construct haul roads, prepare drill benches, level shot material after blasting, and construct drainage as needed
• Aid in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and report needed repairs to supervisor
• Perform preventative maintenance, service mobile equipment, and maintain good housekeeping of equipment
• Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operate other equipment such as dozers and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed
• Aid in the training of co-workers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position. Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment, and/or equipment used in processing plants is preferred, particularly in the operation and maintenance of a loader.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must be a member of the S&P 500 Index and have a strong commitment to community and environmental stewardship. They should also be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be willing to travel as necessary.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Hours are 7AM - 5PM, with occasional weekend work as necessary.
