About the role

The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. Additionally, the position involves maintaining documentation of vehicle movement, conducting daily pre and post-trip inspections, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
  • Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of assigned machine.
  • Facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
  • Operate company equipment safely.
  • Assist with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
  • Record vehicle information accurately and legibly.
  • Operate digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
  • Set up yard for auctions within company timelines.
  • Provide service to customers as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Follow yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (e.g., speed limits).
  • Load and unload vehicles as required.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
  • One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude and high integrity.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Occasional overtime as needed.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.

  • Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.
