About the role

This position is responsible for loading and unloading of company vehicles in accordance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. It also involves the accurate, safe, and efficient movement and storage of materials to support the business needs of the warehousing operation.

Responsibilities

• Optimally load trucks by hand in an organized and safe manner
• Ensure all products are scanned accurately to the truck
• Maintain constant monitoring of products to ensure quality standards are met and reject products that do not meet these standards
• Utilize computer equipment to complete orders on staging computer, look-up information, scan windows, and enter tag information
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including quality reports, timecards, etc.
• Assemble shipping crates and prepare common carrier shipments as directed, taking care to package product to effectively guard against shipping damage
• Operate production line machinery and computers
• Perform equipment change-overs
• Responsible for quality control. Reject product outside of specifications
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Clean and maintain work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass basic assessment
• Previous warehouse experience preferred

Physical requirements

• Must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hand and arm length, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Full hand dexterity
• Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time
