Load Planner/Tracker

Contract Period: 1 year | Location: Coppell, TX, 75019 | Work Hours: 10:00am - 7:00pm | Pay Rate: $24/hr (W2)

Responsibilities

• Optimize loads daily on Transportation Management System and Warehouse Management System.
• Manage the overall planning and coordination of transportation services to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Use independent judgement and network balance capacity tools to determine truck locations and available customer loads, tailoring planning to meet area needs, including route changes or load cancellations.
• Understand daily capacity needs and proactively communicate with leadership to maximize efficiency.
• Plan for load acceptance, assign loads to trucks, and ensure customers' service requirements are met using network decision support tools.
• Successfully dispatch planned loads and maintain ownership of loads for the assigned area.
• Coordinate and collaborate with designated department teams to manage customer trailer pools and network needs.
• Communicate late pickups, deliveries, load changes, cancellations, or reassignments to appropriate personnel.
• Use independent judgement to comply with DOT regulations and validate driver hours of service for safe and legal load planning.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere to facilitate efficiency and meet company demands.
• Perform additional managerial and business operations duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
• Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred.
• Strong communication skills across different departments.
• Ability to transfer knowledge, train others, and solve problems in high-pressure situations using independent judgement.
• Detail-oriented with strong computer and keyboard skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Qualifications

• No prior load planning or supply chain experience required; fresh graduates preferred.
