Load Planner

About the role

The Load Planner plays a critical role in keeping UniGroup’s transportation network running efficiently. In this fast-paced, problem-solving role, you will balance priorities like capacity, cost, and service to keep operations moving. If you enjoy thinking on your feet, solving logistical challenges, and working with a variety of partners, this role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and dispatch shipments to maximize truck capacity and meet delivery timelines
• Monitor shipments in transit and quickly resolve issues to keep service on track
• Communicate with agents, drivers, customers, and carriers to coordinate and problem-solve
• Negotiate with carriers and partners to support cost-effective transportation solutions
• Track performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve service and efficiency
• Partner with internal teams to support smooth operations and strong customer outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in real time
• Clear and effective communication skills across a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
