LOAD PLANNER

About the role

Coordinates with Sales, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ensure customers’ needs are met through effective planning of assets and personnel. Facilitates loading and equipment issues, optimizes load planning for ROI, and ensures on-time delivery requirements are met. Communicates delays or problems to shippers and Customer Service, forecasts regional freight needs, and works to meet driver home-time requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Sales and Warehouse to plan assets and personnel based on customer needs.
• Communicate pickup and delivery information to driver managers and carriers.
• Facilitate loading and equipment issues with the warehouse.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to secure equipment for shipments.
• Plan loads and equipment to optimize ROI.
• Work with Driver Managers to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met.
• Communicate delays or problems to shippers and Customer Service.
• Forecast regional freight needs for Customer Service.
• Work with Driver Managers to meet driver home-time requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Truck dispatch, planning, or distribution experience required.
• Basic computer skills in Outlook and Excel; transportation software experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Shipper/trucking industry experience preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Pay

Base salary range of $57,784. Eligible to participate in the Company’s quarterly bonus plan, with bonus amounts varying and subject to program terms.
