About the role
The Load Inspector/Pumper's Helper position in Richmond, CA is part of a team that ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials. This role involves implementing defined seal and inspection procedures, providing additional support to plant operations, performing GMP, Food Safety, and Quality tasks, and adhering to safety rules at all times. Completing all required documentation is also a key responsibility.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good physical condition with frequent climbing up to 15 feet required.
- Ability to perform duties wearing weight restricted safety equipment.
- Good basic math skills along with written and verbal English language proficiency.
- Careful attention to Good Manufacturing Practices while maintaining designated areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule within normal loading hours.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to follow direction and interact with fellow employees as well as outside contractors.
Physical Requirements
- Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, heat, sparks, oil, and smoke may occur.
- Protective safety equipment is required including appropriate clothing, shoes, gloves, hardhat, safety glasses, and fall protection harness.
- Able to communicate (verbal and written) with management and other co-workers is important.
- Regular use of a variety of measuring tools, the telephone, and e-mail for communication is essential.
- Standing and climbing tankers for extended periods is common.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information.
- Heavy lifting is required intermittently. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally is required.
- Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines or measuring tools is required.
- Good math and reasoning ability is essential. Able to apply general mathematical calculations, analysis of variance, as well as geometry, and other basic standard equations as required.
- Able to understand and utilize engineering drawings is helpful.
- Able to climb ladders and stairs.
- Operate heavy equipment (i.e. forklifts, man-lifts).
- Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- A fair amount of walking is involved.
