LNA-Unit Coordinator (Per Diem)

About the role

Works under the direction of the House Supervisors and RN Nurse Manager. Unit Coordinator/LNA reports directly to the primary nurse regarding the day-to-day job expectations, duties, and accountability. Assists RN/LPN in providing safe delivery of age specific and effective patient care. Works on the Medical/Surgical or in the Emergency Department and assists in other areas as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Incorporates appropriate skills in all interactions and delivery of care relative to ADL’s, safety and protection, patient care skills, evaluation and equipment use/management.
• Communicates with patients, primary nurse, other patient care team members and management in an accurate, timely manner.
• Talks with, listens to patient/team members; reports pertinent, concise information; completes timely and accurate charting; protects confidentiality of patients/colleagues.
• Develops and maintains human care relationships.
• Demonstrates caring and concern for patients, families and colleagues; assists with the provision of care based on philosophical, moral and ethical concepts; advocates for the needs/values of the patient; adapts the delivery and management of health care for diverse populations and environments; assists colleagues with care delivery; refers all concerns/issues to appropriate resource; protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
• Manages self and resources effectively organizes and prioritizes multitask workload effectively and appropriately; accepts changes in assignment/expectations; utilizes equipment and supplies appropriately; maintains clean, orderly environment of care; applies personal work organizational skills; interacts with others
