About the role
This is a per-diem, onsite position located at 789 Central Avenue. Scheduled hours vary within the Same Day Surgery department, which operates from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and take vitals
- Perform pre-surgery testing, including EKGs, blood sugar checks, and pregnancy tests
- Assist with toileting, gathering supplies, and providing warm blankets
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required; experience cannot substitute)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- New Hampshire Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification (required)
- 1–2 years of clinical, medical office, or managed care experience (preferred) or 0–1 year of Nursing Assistant experience (preferred)
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of general nursing assistant practices, personal care, and basic medical services
- Understanding of patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality
- Sensitivity to the needs of patients and employees
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adherence to policies
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently

- Frequently (34–66%): Standing, walking, lifting (with assisted device for 35+ lbs), carrying (20–35 lbs), balancing, reaching, gross manipulation (handling), fine manipulation (fingering)
- Occasionally (3–33%): Sitting, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching
- Rarely (Less than 2%): Climbing, crawling, foot use
Pay
$19.47–$31.09 per hour, based on experience. The estimated base pay range for this role is $19.47–$24.40 per hour.
