About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Nurses Aide, LNA for a full-time opportunity to complete hospice visits to clients located throughout Chittenden and Washington counties.

Responsibilities

  • Part of a multi-disciplinary health care team providing home health aide, skilled nursing and palliative care to clients.
  • Offering flexible schedules, 1:1 patient ratio, and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Activities of daily living:
    • Light housekeeping
    • Bathing
    • Grooming
    • Toileting
    • Nail care
    • Ranging of motion / exercises
    • Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices
    • Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
  • Home Management Tasks:
    • Laundry
    • Meal preparation
    • Bed making
  • Assisting with ambulation
  • Medication assistance

Qualifications

  • At least one year of work experience
  • Listed on the Vermont Aide Registry, active and in good standing
  • Demonstrate an ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
  • Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination
  • Meet all state requirements
