Menig Nursing Home, named for the late Howard and Gladys Menig of Braintree, opened in 1998 and is a 30-bed facility known for its creative activities, consistent five-star ratings, and national recognition. It has been featured in local media and named one of the top 39 nursing homes in the nation by U.S. News and World Report in 2012. About the role
The Licensed Nursing Assistant will assist in coordinating nursing care for patients, serve as a patient advocate, and provide patient and family teaching in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. They will deliver direct care to assigned patients in accordance with hospital policies, professional standards, physician orders, and the approved plan of care. The nursing process will guide the provision of patient care, and the role will function within the limits of the Vermont Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and guided by Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice, hospital, and nursing department policies and procedures.
Requirements
- LNA certification from an accredited program with a current LNA license in Vermont
- BLS certification (current, renewed every 2 years)
