LMSW to LCSW Clinical Supervision Program
Program Overview
The LMSW to LCSW Workforce Development Program is a strategic initiative designed to grow and retain talent by supporting Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs) in achieving their Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. This program reflects our commitment to developing our people, strengthening our workforce, and advancing career pathways within the organization.

Eligibility & Candidate Profile
- Designated for LMSWs who demonstrate strong performance and commitment to patient care
- Show readiness for professional growth and clinical advancement
- Have leader support and alignment with department needs
Participant Expectations
- Actively engage in all training and supervision activities
- Maintain strong job performance while completing program requirements
- Commit to completing clinical supervision hours toward LCSW licensure
Education
Required - Master's in social work (MSW)
Work Experience
PREFERRED - 2 years in a healthcare setting
Job Duties
- Conducts patient assessment interviews, provides referrals and coordinates discharge plans
- Identifies and provides helpful resources to patients and families
- Maintains patient records and documents and communicates critical information to the medical team
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge and required certifications through continuing education and development
- Utilizes management resources
- Participates in on-call rotation
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style
- Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards
