About the role
JBS Live Pork is seeking a Live Pork Veterinarian to join their team. This role will be part of the multiplication region leadership team and responsible for the health of 26,000 sows and their offspring.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, assess, formulate, and present solutions to address health issues
- Provide visit summaries and recommendations to the production team
- Conduct routine health checks
- Implement treatment and vaccination strategies
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Diagnose and interpret diagnostic test results
- Build and maintain effective relationships with consulting veterinarians and industry partners
- Monitor biosecurity compliance
- Maintain Veterinary Client Patient Record (VCPR) with production locations
- Schedule and conduct health-related technical training
- Stay current on the latest industry developments, research, and best practices
- Participate on various internal teams to provide guidance on industry requirements
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from an accredited school
- Eligible for veterinary licensure and USDA accreditation in Missouri, and Arkansas
- Competent in management of swine diseases and a working knowledge of farrow to finish management
- Able to work well in group settings and independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work multiple days per week on-farm

- Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Missouri and Arkansas
- Must have a strong understanding of swine diseases and farrow-to-finish management
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work multiple days per week on-farm
