About the role

The candidate will work in the Litigation Support Division’s Practice Management group, overseeing the agency’s matter management system and associated reporting, as well as the document management system.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of information maintained in the matter management system and proper storage of documents.
  • Maintain essential monitoring processes and adjust as needed.
  • Assist in managing data collection and analysis to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews and complete data entry as needed for Medicare reporting and Law Department litigation.
  • Communicate with Law Department personnel and other client agency staff regarding reports, charts, graphs, and related documents.
  • Identify and recommend quality assurance methods to resolve issues, working with the report team as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute reports to internal and external clients, including responding to Giglio requests by prosecutors' offices.
  • Utilize matter management front-end queries to validate report output.
  • Develop and revise system and procedure report specifications.
  • Conduct analysis concerning operations and assist in personnel administration.
  • Prepare and conduct operational and statistical studies to ensure agency compliance with Medicare-related reporting.
  • Provide technical support to reporting divisions and monitor Section 111 reporting.

Requirements

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business, public administration, public health, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies, or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, with one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, fiscal or economic research, management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research, program evaluation, personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management, or in a related area.
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in "1" above.
  • An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college and five years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above.
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and seven years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above.
  • A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1," "2," "3," or "4" above, with 30 semester credits from an accredited college substituting for one year of experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to work independently and with a team, prioritizing tasks as needed.
  • Working knowledge of LawManager, Litify LegalStratus, Salesforce, or another matter management system, and iManage, or another document management system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the rest of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with productivity software products (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software).
  • Familiarity with SQL-based databases.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and also with a team, balancing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks as needed.
