Litigation Staff Attorney - Tort Practice Group
About the role
Dinsmore is seeking a litigation staff attorney in their Louisville, Kentucky office. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of litigation experience, including drafting and arguing motions, taking depositions, handling complex discovery and electronic discovery (ESI), working with medical records, retaining and working with expert witnesses, and preparing cases for trial. Experience in defending healthcare-related negligence cases is preferred. Candidates should also have a strong academic background, excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, and a license to practice in Kentucky.
Responsibilities
- Draft and argue motions
- Take depositions
- Handle complex discovery and ESI
- Work with medical records
- Retain and work with expert witnesses
- Prepare cases for trial
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of litigation experience
- Experience in defense of healthcare-related negligence cases preferred
- Familiarity with the Kentucky court system is a plus
- A license to practice in Kentucky is required
