About the role
A prominent mid-sized law firm is seeking a talented Litigation Secretary to support a busy group of attorneys handling sophisticated defense litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage State and Federal Court e-filings and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
- Draft, edit, proofread, and finalize correspondence and legal documents
- Create and update Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities using advanced Word features
- Maintain attorney calendars and track litigation deadlines
- Assist with trial preparation, depositions, and case management activities
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
Requirements
- 3+ years of civil litigation defense experience
- Strong State and Federal e-filing experience (required)
- Knowledge of court rules, civil procedures, and litigation workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Strong Microsoft Word skills, including document formatting and TOC/TOA creation
- Experience with billing or expense reporting software is a plus
- Labor & Employment or Complex Commercial Litigation experience is highly valued
