Our law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Litigation Paralegal with a focus on Personal Injury to join our team in Greenville, SC. This on-site role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to manage a diverse and complex caseload while working with a dedicated team of legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Coordinate and manage medical records, bills, and lien reductions.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, judicial personnel, and others.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
- Maintain organized case files and track deadlines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case strategy discussions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on personal injury cases.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in legal research, with a strong understanding of personal injury law and civil procedure.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
- Proficiency in legal software and technology, including case management software, e-discovery platforms, and legal research tools.
- Proactive and independent work ethic, with the ability to take initiative and work well under pressure.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service and advocating for clients' interests.
