Job Details
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive document review and analysis to assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
- Perform thorough legal research to support case development and legal strategies.
- Manage all aspects of the legal discovery process, including preparing and responding to discovery requests, organizing and maintaining discovery materials, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.
- Handle electronic filing of pleadings, motions, and other court documents in federal and state courts.
- Oversee case management tasks such as tracking deadlines, maintaining case files, and coordinating with internal and external parties.
- Aid in trial preparation, including compiling trial exhibits, preparing witness binders, and coordinating logistics.
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports under the supervision of attorneys.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Proficiency in document review, legal research, legal discovery, electronic filing, and case management.
- A bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to attorneys, clients, and other parties.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and legal case management software.
- High level of professionalism, with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
