Litigation Legal Assistant
Position Overview
The Litigation Legal Assistant position is a fully onsite opportunity based in Los Angeles, California, with the potential for one designated remote day per week following a successful onboarding and training period. This is a true Legal Assistant role focused on calendaring, court deadlines, filings, document preparation, and keeping attorneys organized and on track.
Responsibilities
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and litigation schedules to ensure timely completion of all case-related activities
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files while ensuring accuracy and completeness of records
- Prepare, proofread, format, and finalize pleadings, correspondence, and other litigation documents
- Coordinate court filings, service deadlines, meetings, depositions, and communications with court reporters, clients, and opposing counsel
- Provide administrative and litigation support to assigned attorneys and assist with overflow work as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment
- Strong knowledge of court rules, filing procedures, calendaring requirements, and litigation deadlines
- Experience managing multiple attorney schedules and competing priorities with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal case management software, and state and federal e-filing systems
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, follow-through, and commitment to producing error-free work
Compensation And Benefits
This opportunity offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $70,000–$100,000 depending on experience. Candidates with extensive litigation legal assistant experience supporting multiple attorneys may be considered toward the top of the compensation range.
