Litigation Attorneys – Los Angeles (West Los Angeles)

Ogletree Deakins is expanding its presence across the Greater Los Angeles market and seeks experienced attorneys, particularly those based in or interested in West Los Angeles. While labor and employment experience is preferred, candidates with strong civil litigation backgrounds—including insurance defense attorneys—are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

• Handle matters through various stages of litigation, including taking and defending depositions
• Draft and argue motions
• Manage written discovery
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Prepare matters for mediation or trial
• Work directly with clients

Requirements

• Juris Doctor and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
• At least 3 years of litigation experience preferred
• Labor and employment experience welcomed but not required
• Civil litigation, insurance defense, or other substantive litigation experience encouraged
• Experience with depositions, discovery, motion drafting, and/or arguing motions preferred
• Excellent analytical, writing, and organizational skills
• Strong client-service skills and interest in developing a labor and employment practice
• Excellent academic record

Pay

The expected salary range for this California position is $230,000 to $275,000, with adjustments based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors. A competitive hours-based bonus is also available.
