About the role
Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP is seeking an associate with at least 3 years of litigation experience to work in our Houston office.
Responsibilities
- Handle construction disputes, including mechanics’ and materialmen’s liens, lien rights determination, payment disputes, delay and disruption claims, and defective design and construction claims.
- Independently draft pleadings, conduct legal research, prepare discovery, handle motion practice, take and defend depositions, and assist with trial preparation.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be licensed in Texas and should have experience handling construction disputes.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a law degree from an ABA-approved law school and be admitted to practice law in Texas.
Skills
Strong analytical and research skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
