Job Details
We are seeking a litigation associate with 3–6 years of experience to join a collaborative practice handling a mix of business disputes, employment matters, and general litigation work. This role offers early responsibility, direct involvement in strategy, and meaningful client interaction. Our attorneys are involved in matters from initial assessment through resolution, with opportunities to develop both litigation and counseling skills. You will work closely with experienced lawyers while maintaining ownership over key aspects of your cases, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and legal issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
- Take and defend depositions, including party and witness examinations
- Participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions
- Advise clients on employment-related issues, including workplace policies and risk management
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case development
- Assist with pre-litigation counseling and dispute resolution when appropriate
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of litigation experience, ideally including exposure to employment-related matters
- Experience handling a mix of commercial disputes, workplace claims, or similar matters
- Strong writing, analytical, and research skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently
- Comfortable working directly with clients and contributing to strategy discussions
- Exposure to depositions, motion practice, and discovery processes
- Interest in developing both litigation and advisory skills
Requirements
- Active MA bar admission required
- Solid foundation in civil litigation procedures and case management
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to balance independent responsibility with team collaboration
