About the role
Literacy Tutor/Learner Coordinator positions and positions with Do Your Homework @ the Library program facilitate the daily operations of homework centers and adult literacy programs respectively. These roles involve conducting data collection and assessment, coordinating learner-tutor matches, monitoring progress, supervising volunteers, maintaining resources, managing referrals, promoting the program, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Data collection and assessment to achieve measurable outcomes
- Cooking and coordinating learner-tutor matches
- Maintaining progress and overseeing volunteers
- Maintaining physical space, materials, technology, and supplies
- Maintaining referral sources and data compliance
- Working with diverse populations
- Promoting the program to various community agencies and organizations
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education (minimum 120 semester/180 quarter college-level units)
- One year of full-time professional experience working in an education or literacy program
Qualifications
- Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis
- A Master's Degree in Education, Teaching, or a closely related field may be substituted for the required experience
