About the role

We are seeking an experienced Listed Interest Rates Broker to join our global macro and listed derivatives business. The successful candidate will develop institutional client relationships, facilitate execution across listed interest rate products, identify liquidity, generate trading opportunities, and provide high-quality market intelligence to buy-side and sell-side clients. This role requires a deep understanding of global rates markets, exchange-traded interest rate products, and the ability to connect market participants efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Client Coverage & Revenue Generation
    • Build and maintain relationships with hedge funds, asset managers, banks, proprietary trading firms, and institutional investors.
    • Generate brokerage revenues through active client coverage and new business development.
    • Identify trading opportunities and connect buyers and sellers across global listed rates markets.
    • Develop the desk's franchise and expand market share within core products.
  • Market Making & Liquidity Discovery
    • Source and disseminate liquidity across exchange-traded interest rate products.
    • Maintain real-time knowledge of market positioning, flows, and pricing.
    • Facilitate execution while ensuring fair and orderly market practices.
    • Support clients with market color, trade ideas, and relative value opportunities.

    Products may include:

    • CME SOFR Futures & Options
    • Eurodollar Legacy Positions
    • U.S. Treasury Futures & Options
    • Eurex Euribor Futures & Options
    • SONIA Futures & Options
    • ICE Gilt Futures & Options
    • JGB Futures & Options
    • STIR spreads, packs, bundles, butterflies, and curve structures
  • Risk & Regulatory Responsibilities
    • Adhere to all exchange, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
    • Maintain confidentiality of client information and trading activity.
    • Ensure accurate trade capture, booking, and reporting.
    • Demonstrate the highest standards of market conduct and integrity.

Requirements

  • Market Knowledge
    • Deep understanding of global interest rate markets.
    • Strong knowledge of monetary policy transmission and central bank pricing.
    • Thorough understanding of futures, options, spreads, packs, bundles, flies, and curve trades.
    • Understanding of exchange delivery mechanics and contract specifications.
  • Relationship Management
    • Strong institutional client network.
    • Ability to develop new relationships and grow existing accounts.
    • Credibility with portfolio managers, traders, and risk managers.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial Skills
    • Demonstrated ability to generate brokerage revenues.
    • Proven business development capability.
    • Commercial awareness and entrepreneurial mindset.
    • Ability to identify and monetize market opportunities.
  • Trading & Execution Expertise
    • Experience executing large and complex listed rates transactions.
    • Strong understanding of exchange market structure.
    • Knowledge of electronic and voice execution methods.
    • Ability to monitor liquidity and market flows in real time.
  • Technical Skills
    • Bloomberg proficiency.
    • Familiarity with TT, CQG, CME Direct, ICE, Eurex, and broker platforms.
    • Excel and market analytics capabilities.
    • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and post-trade processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience broking listed interest rate products.
  • Established client relationships across hedge funds and institutional asset managers.
  • Track record of generating meaningful brokerage revenue.
  • Experience with both futures and options markets.
  • Knowledge of U.S., European, and UK rates products.
  • Experience working within a regulated brokerage environment.

Pay

$135,000–$150,000
