Liquor Store General Manager 2B - Edgemont Ave, Brookhaven
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Liquor Store General Manager to lead the operations of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store on Edgemont Ave in Brookhaven. As a General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the store while leading and developing a dedicated team in a dynamic retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and manage all store operations; ensure the store environment remains clean, organized, safe, and welcoming for both customers and staff.
- Supervise staff, set employee schedules to provide appropriate coverage, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor work quality.
- Provide motivation, guidance, and training to ensure staff is equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed; resolve conflicts and recognize top performers.
- Monitor stock levels, oversee merchandising, and ensure adherence to all marketing promotions and branding initiatives for optimal customer experience.
- Handle cash management, sales reporting, and maintain accurate records in line with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
You must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement and be able to perform essential job functions. A background investigation will be conducted; applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years are not permitted to work for the PLCB. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 or a Liquor Store General Manager 2A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent); or
- Two years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent); or
- Three years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent); or
- Four years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent); or
- Four years of lead or supervisory retail sales work.
Schedule
Full-time employment with work hours totaling 75 hours biweekly. Work hours will vary. Telework is not an option for this position.
