Linux Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Linux Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join a growing engineering team responsible for building, automating, and maintaining enterprise Linux server platforms at scale. This role is focused on engineering and automation rather than day-to-day operational support.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and maintain enterprise Linux server platforms.
• Develop and manage infrastructure automation using Ansible.
• Create and maintain Packer images.
• Develop Jenkins pipelines.
• Support VMware environments.
• Manage enterprise patching, server hardening, and OS lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Linux systems engineering experience.
• Strong expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation.
• Experience building and maintaining Packer images.
• Advanced scripting experience with Python and Bash.
• Experience developing Jenkins pipelines.
• Familiarity with GitHub or Bitbucket source control platforms.
• Knowledge of enterprise patching, server hardening, and OS lifecycle management.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position based in Charlotte, NC, requiring onsite work 3 days per week. The duration is an 18-month contract, and candidates must work on a Direct W2 basis (C2C is not accepted).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $70.24/hour.
