Linux Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Linux Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join a growing engineering team responsible for building, automating, and maintaining enterprise Linux server platforms at scale. This role is focused on engineering and automation rather than day-to-day operational support.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and maintain enterprise Linux server platforms at scale
• Develop and implement infrastructure automation solutions
• Create and manage Packer images
• Design and maintain Jenkins pipelines
• Support VMware environments
• Perform enterprise patching, server hardening, and OS lifecycle management

Requirements

• 5+ years of Linux systems engineering experience
• Strong expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation
• Experience building and maintaining Packer images
• Advanced scripting experience with Python and Bash
• Experience developing Jenkins pipelines
• Familiarity with GitHub or Bitbucket source control platforms
• Knowledge of enterprise patching, server hardening, and OS lifecycle management

Schedule

This is a hybrid position based in Plano, TX, requiring onsite work 3 days per week. Duration: 18-month contract.

Pay

$70.24/hour.
