Responsibilities
- Prepare raw materials and packaging by reviewing labels for correct weight, type, and lot/batch number before charging mixers and monitoring production parameters.
- Operate mixers: verify and load raw materials per process instructions, take samples, unload, and pack products.
- Document process figures and results to ensure traceability and compliance with legal requirements.
- Ensure all operations comply with H.B. Fuller’s Quality and Operating procedures.
- Conduct initial testing and release of products, ensuring no deviations from specifications.
- Verify the visual appearance and quality of finished products meet H.B. Fuller standards.
- Package final products according to instructions and report any labeling errors to the Production Manager/Supervisor.
- Maintain machinery and work areas in clean and proper condition.
- Complete and maintain personal training documentation.
- Comply with all legal and company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures; report safety deviations.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Production Manager/Supervisor.
Requirements
- Basic educational degree, high school diploma, or general education diploma.
- 2+ years of experience as a Production Operator I or 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in common software programs (e.g., MS Office).
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
- Availability to work in shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of chemical mixing and packaging processes.
- Basic understanding of English.
Physical Environment
- Required to stand for long periods.
- Walk and climb stairs frequently.
- Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
- Stretch and reach with arms extended.
- Stoop and bend regularly.
- Lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Work in conditions involving temperature variations, dust, smells, and noise typical of a chemical production environment.
