Linekeeper- 3rd Shift

About the Role

Prepare and maintain armature, shaft, and automated machines to enable team members to produce 100% quality parts with minimal downtime and waste, in compliance with the Quality Policy.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow operator instructions on all machines in the area; train new associates on these instructions.
• Effectively communicate process and product problems.
• Perform machine and quality checks as outlined in operator instructions.
• Set up and change over machines, including die and material changes.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Maintain daily charts and 5’S Standards.
• Maintain good communication with team members and position associates to meet production requirements.
• Support associates by performing required duties to meet Team Leader directives.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to maintain production targets.
• Participate in company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, and Employee Involvement.
• Work with hazardous chemicals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (must fulfill NC State or Federal educational requirements).
• Preferred: 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Preferred: Six months of experience in the respective section of the focus area.

Skills

• Ability to work on similar processes and demonstrate setup and maintenance in your current area.
• Practical knowledge of the employee handbook, company structure, and philosophy.
• Proficient in arithmetic for charts and graphs; ability to interpret and analyze them.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and working knowledge of the metric system.
• Working knowledge and understanding of hand tools.
• Basic mechanical skills.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and moving for 8-12 hours per day.
• Ability to constantly lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel.
• Ability to apply up to 66 lbs of push/pull force unassisted.
• Ability to reach overhead.

Shift work and overtime required.
