Linehaul Driver

About the role

Transport freight between Southeastern’s Service Center or designated points in-between. Operate a tractor-trailer combination (single or double) in urban, suburban, and rural areas and in all types of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify dispatch instructions and verify load against shipping documents.
• When hauling hazardous material, verify the hazardous material product description, determine any discrepancies in the paperwork, and verify proper placarding.
• Perform all duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.
• 6 months driving experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass background check and alcohol and drug test.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, and Doubles/Triples Endorsement.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in the English language and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, and maintenance logs.
• Ability to meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to the physical qualifications for commercial drivers.
