Linehaul Coordinator-1
About the role
Serves as a key player in the efficient movement of volume within the FedEx network, focusing on maximizing capacity, minimizing partial trailer loads, and ensuring service integrity for assigned areas. Directs the dispatch of transportation equipment in alignment with the Linehaul plan.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other FedEx field operations to plan and coordinate contractor and equipment needs for efficient trailer movements.
- Coordinates and tracks the processing and movement of FedEx trailers, rental equipment, new trailers, and dollies across the FedEx network.
- Manages locally domiciled Unassigned Team logistics to optimize resource usage and reduce tractor dwell.
- In accordance with the Linehaul plan, directs the dispatch of transportation equipment and ensures adherence to defined Company procedures.
- Coordinates cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume while fulfilling package delivery obligations.
- Enters trip details into an online system (TMS) to ensure timely delivery and pickup of trailers.
- Verifies the location of equipment in the dispatch system through yard inventories and the load/unload status of trailers through yard checks.
- Timely reports missing equipment and investigates and reports schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures, implementing contingency plans as needed.
- Reviews and communicates Department of Transportation (DOT) roadside violations to management.
- Coordinates with the Safety and Maintenance departments to monitor tractor safety inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Reviews trailer load condition reports (TLCR’s) to ensure proper completion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, or related area preferred.
Qualifications
- Dispatch experience preferred.
- Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills necessary to handle various tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with various audiences.
- Knowledge of concepts, practices, procedures, and transportation regulations used in Linehaul field operations, including DOT regulations.
- Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.

Linehaul Coordinator PT/25 - 2 positions available. One shift is for Sun - Thurs 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and the other is for Tues - Sat 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
