Line Worker 2nd & 3rd Shift

Duties

• Feed cheese onto state of the art production line for wrapping and packaging.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, and established safety rules and regulations.
• Set up scales, operate scales to weigh product for packaging.
• Pack cheese product into boxes, stack boxes on pallets, and inspect packages and boxes for good seals and correct coding of dates.
• Utilize box erecting, case sealing, and labeling equipment.
• Sanitize the work area and equipment as needed.

Education & Experience

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• An education beyond high school would be beneficial.
• Forklift experience is desirable.
• Prior manufacturing and/or packaging experience would be advantageous.

Working Conditions

• Work inside a clean manufacturing environment.
• Required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 25 pounds frequently and 45 pounds occasionally.

Pay

• Normal operations are Monday through Friday, with a Monday night start for the third shift.
• Saturdays may be required depending on production and staffing needs.
• Saturdays are usually six-hour shifts.
• Compensation for work exceeding 8 hours in any workday or 40 hours in any workweek will be at time and one-half the straight-time rate.
