About the role

This position is responsible for all equipment associated with the Cream Cheese Packaging lines, including performing activities related to repair, maintenance, and installation. The role provides technical and problem-solving support for the line and plant, and supports and executes plant-specific maintenance strategies to achieve key performance goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct repairs, adjustments, and operational checks to ensure effective set ups and changeovers to ensure equipment is delivering quality output.
  • Efficiently operate and monitor equipment, including cook, filling, packers, palletizer, robotic equipment, scales, x-rays, washers, and conveyors.
  • Servicing and repairs to equipment may include gearbox, pumps, valves, sensors, filters, carts, piping, filters, and motors.
  • Responsible for KPI’s associated with area of responsibilities through SAP, accuracy for all associated equipment, maintaining and improving OEE/GE Standards, and maintaining budget for cost center and line improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of adjustments made on equipment using SAP.
  • Minimize cost through innovation and initiative, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with programmers, contractors, vendors, and service techs for maintenance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain QRMP standards and execute performance monitoring audits in a timely manner.
  • Understand basic electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical troubleshooting with a willingness to learn shop skills, welding, machining, HVAC, etc.
  • Cross-train on additional lines and equipment to provide coverage for planned and unplanned team absences.
  • Maintain overall housekeeping, associated period work, GMP’s in the work area, and all maintenance activity relating to the line.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years previous experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic fields is required.
  • Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.

Skills

The role requires a team-oriented mindset, active participation in establishing documented standard practices, change control, training, and performance metrics. The ability to work on all shifts, including weekends and holidays, is expected.

Pay

The wage rate for this position is $32.60-37.04 per hour.

Schedule

The schedule is based on a 7-day/week production, with workdays fluctuating from week to week based on production. 12-hour shifts may be required, and off-shift coverage may be necessary.
